our story

Penny Lane Foods was founded in Bridgwater in 1985 as a sausage manufacturer supplying the catering and wholesale trade. In 2000 we added burgers to our product range and launched our first website “burgersandsausages.com”. In 2010 we acquired a bakery in Newton Abbot and added a range of savoury pastry products to our portfolio.

The Company now employees around 70 staff across our two factories in Bridgwater and Newton Abbot. We supply wholesalers and caterers across the United Kingdom and Europe with a comprehensive range of top qualty sausages, burgers, meatballs and savoury pastry products.

our factories

Both our factories are state of the art. They incorporate the latest manufacturing equipment and are highly automated. All products are frozen in-line using spiral freezers. Both factories are BRC and Halal accredited.
